#Ultramarines #Trailer

#TalkNerdyToMeLover's @maniacalmorgan

I just happened to stumble on this earlier. Originally a tabletop game, Warhammer 40,000  has developed an entire universe surrounding it. Books, video games, and now ... a movie. The movie Ultramarines is set to follow the Space Marines, a group of genetically enhanced soldiers. I'll post more when a synopsis is released. Here is the newest trailer for Ultramarines set to release later this year (hoepfully).

The Human Calculator

#TalkNerdyToMeLover's @maniacalmorgan

Remember that thing we learned in school called math? No? Me neither, but this guy is absolutely nuts. Rüdiger Gamm has an unbelievable talent for numbers. Who needs a calculator when you can use your brain? This is soooooooo amazing!

How? How is this possible? I can't even begin to understand. Are there any readers out there that have interesting talents? A "super power" if you will? Email me at Morgan@talknerdytomelover.com  and perhaps we can share it with the world!

#MovieReview: #Fanboys

#TalkNerdyToMeLover's @maniacalmorgan

I know this movie came out in 2008, but Kyle Newman's Fanboys deserves some mad props. If you haven't seen it, this is something worth adding to your movie collection. Fanboys is rich with amazing cameos such as David Denman, Christopher McDonald, Seth Rogan, Danny Trejo, Kevin Smith, Jason Mewes, and... wait for it... keep waiting...  William Shatner. The list goes on and on, but you get the idea. Although the cameos are amazing and outright hilarious, it's the story that really makes the movie.

The movie is about four Star Wars fan boys who were friends in high shcool that journey cross-country to sneak into Skywalker Ranch to see Star Wars: The Phantom Menace before it's theatrical release. Despite his unintentional separation from the group after high school, Eric (Sam Huntington) happens to run into his old friends at a Halloween party. The idea is thrown around to go on this epic adventure which Eric originally finds crazy. The next day Hutch (Dan Fogler) and "Windows" (Jay Baruchel) fill Eric in on the dreadful news; his best friend Linus (Chris Marquette) who he hasn't seen in three years, has terminal cancer. Through some persuasion, their journey ensues taking them across the United States to Skywalker Ranch with some crazy stops along the way. After getting into some trouble with the law along the way, they meet up with their friend Zoe (Kristen Bell). After enlisting her help, they find themselves at Skywalker Ranch where their ultimate test awaits.

Guys, this movie is amazing! I'm a huge Star Wars nerd, so this hit a special chord for me, but that's not to say that you won't enjoy it too. Kyle Newman did a fantastic job with this movie and I wish him the best of luck on all of his future movies. ;)

#Videogame #Trailers: #Bioshock Infinite

#TalkNerdyToMeLover's @maniacalmorgan

Talk about a franchise that is really pushing the envelope. The original Bioshock title won more awards than you could shake a stick at (PC Game of the Year, Best Artistic Design, Best Use of Sound, Best Single-Player Shooter, and the list goes on). Bioshock 2 released and topped the charts for sales across all platforms. So, yes. This is an amazing franchise.

Following in the steps of the previous titles, Bioshock Infinite looks absolutely amazing. The plot and setting has changed, making this neither a sequel or prequel to either of the other Bioshock titles. The game takes place in a collapsing air-city called Colombia in 1912.  You, and ex Pinkerton agent, are trying to rescue a woman trapped in the doomed city. Check out the cinematic trailer for this newest addition to 2k's Bioshock franchise.

This game is still a ways off. It is set to release sometime in 2012. I just hope I get to play it before the end of the world.
