@Coordin8dDrunk goes to the #Logitech Revue Loft!

#TalkNerdyToMeLover's @Coordin8dDrunk

Friday October 8th was just like any other day. I woke up late and had my super cool future roomie, @maniacalmorgan, come over for a day of beer and Halo. Games were played and trash was talked and I was just loving life. A quick check on Facebook would reshape my whole weekend. The one and only @JenFriel posted that she was going to a Logitech Revue launch party and was looking for one lucky person to be her plus one. I have been called a lot of things in life but a plus one was a title I had never had but always wanted. MEEEE!!!!! I replied and the wheels were in motion. After what seemed to be the longest Saturday ever had passed, I picked up our nerdy leader and away we went into a world unbeknownst to me. One of free booze, unlimited Hors d'oeuvres, and nerds a plenty. Once inside we headed straight to the bar for a pit stop. I am proud to have been the one responsible for the drunk as a skunk randombling (link) Jen posted the following morning.

After our pit stop it was playtime with the new Logitech Revue. Initially I was really impressed with the sheer idea of having a system that allows you to bridge your TV, DVR, Netflix, YouTube, Skype, and gaming systems into an orgy of non stop WIN. This idea really rang true to my heart because I do all of these things at home but they require way too much switching of inputs ect. So kudos to Logitech for a good idea.

After we played around a while I did recognized a couple issues.
1. There did not seem to be a Facebook App. You could browse to the website but at that point it is easier to just use my phone.
2. It was not as user friendly as I would expect for a product that could have such a wide target audience. I work for a software company and if it took me a few minutes to have any idea how it worked then there is no way my parents would ever figure it out. (sorry parents)

To conclude, the Logitech Revue launch party was a freaking blast and served as a great spring board into an amazing night. I would be a happy owner of the Revue if Logitech would set it up and walk me through how to use the damn thing. And the better not say to read the manual, who does that anymore?
