#NowWatching: Natural Born Killers

SOOO!! I've been on this massive multi-media consumption kick all weekend. This re-tagging is kinda frying my brain ... so I'm learning to adjust. Either way, just watched Natural Born Killers!!

 

First time. The nerd community however seems pretty divided ...

I didn't love it, and I didn't hate it. It just honestly wasn't my kinda flick - but I genuinely appreciate the out of the box nature of it as a whole.

I agree, it was DEFINITELY before its time. Dude, to talk about incest, and domestic violence with a laugh track??? Kinda gnarly. But that's what they were trying to do. It was a satire on how we were all so addicted to the real life crimes being dictated to us via the news in the 90s. That sensationalistic culture. Even ... JERRY JERRY JERRY!!!!

I dug it. It was different, and I'm different, and I like me, so I liked this movie. It's streaming now on Netflix. If you have a chance this afternoon and want to see some blood and guts, I'd totally recommend it!
