That Nerdy Chick: #JustSayin

I get asked all the time for my advice on trends, life, and everything social media. First and foremost, I'd like to show my gratitude - it is amazing to have so many people see value in all the crazy little ideas I come up with.

Secondly, I just want to shake people and say STOP ASKING FOR ADVICE, and JUST DO IT!! I have found success in social media by conducting experiments over and over, and frankly not listening to others. Every day is trial and error. I study what has worked, and what hasn't - but more importantly, I listen to my gut and ACT!!

Position yourself as an expert in what you're passionate about. Be that go to person for your established niche! No one can do it like you. Live life on an even playing field. We all have our own areas of expertise, just advertise the hell out of yours. Stop wasting energy trying to out "do" another person ... focusing on what they're doing ... yada, yada. It doesn't work! They have their talents, you have yours - get over it.

Everything we ever wanted to know is all right in front of us. Remove the ego, remove the politics, remove the BS, and keep it simple stupid. Social media is only a reflection of society as a whole. If you get people, and people get you - it's pretty much a score for life.
