Mark Ruffalo To Play #TheHulk In #TheAvengers Movie?

#TalkNerdyToMeLover's Awesome Applesauce: Charles Quevedo

According to Deadline, actor Mark Ruffalo has been in "late-stage discussions" with Marvel Studios to play "The Hulk" in "The Avengers" movie (May 4, 2012).

If the rumors are true that Ruffalo will take over the role of "The Hulk" (and his alter-ego, "Dr. Bruce Banner"), then he will be the third actor to play the character (Eric Bana being the first to play in Ang Lee's 2003 "The Hulk" and Edward Norton being the second to play in Louis Leterrier's 2008 "The Incredible Hulk").  NOT sure if I can totally see Ruffalo performing in an ensemble cast with the rest of the already established Avengers members: Robert Downey Jr. (as "Anthony Stark/Iron Man"), Samuel Jackson (as "Nick Fury"), Scarlett Johansson (as "Natasha Romannoff/Black Widow"),  Chris Evans (as "Steve Rogers/Captain America") and Chris Hemsworth (as "Thor").

I'm totally bummed that Norton isn't gonna be playing "The Hulk" in "The Avengers" movie.  I thought Norton did a great job playing the part (way better than Bana did).  We'll see how Ruffalo does when "The Avengers" movie comes out.
