#MusicMonday: The Swell Season

DUDESSS!!! So I totally got to hang out with a hot nerd of the mico nano last night ... Ms. Eve Mitts!

She's super cool for school, and she had an extra ticket to The Swell Season concert at the Hollywood Bowl.

She like totally hooked a nerdy chick up - and we had SOOOOO much funnnnnn!!!

She failed to mention  just how good these seats were.

2 Hot nerds drinking wine and passing time. Dude, it was AWESOME. AWESOME. AWESOME!

Zooey Deschanel's band She and Him opened for The Swell Season, and MANNN!!! That little chickadee can rock!

They were pretty good - however, Zooey didn't command the stage quite as much as I expected. She seemed a bit demure. I can't really say I blame her though, as I'm sure the expectations of pure suckage are pretty high.

But OMMMMMMMMFFFFFGGGGGG The Swell Season was one of, if not the BEST live show I have ever been to. For real, the PASSION, and FURYYYY - I mean WOWWWW!!! Almost knocked my nerdy little knickers right off!!! NUTS NUTS NUTS!!!! It's so weird, I've been listening to their stuff on YouTube all day, and I would NEVER dig this kind of vibe if it weren't for seeing them live. Really, really, really, gnarly stuff, man.

the Swell Season is amazing. If you haven't seen it yet, you need to check out the movie that got them started, "Once."

The opening scene with him screaming "Say it To Me Now" gives me goosebumps every time. Did he play that one unplugged live when you saw him?

So good, and they both seem like really genuine, good people who are grateful to be what they're doing.
