Please RT: Dear nerds, Sam needs a home

Nerds, meet Sam ...

He is the mutt on the right

Sam is a very special dog to me.

Gather round, let me tell you a little story ...

I was driving to work one day, and I happened to see this little goober by the side of the road about to wander onto the 5 freeway. Yeah, crazy. Even crazier was that I got out of my car and he approached me and kissed my foot. I then proceeded to pick all 70 lbs of him up and place him in my car. I asked a guy watering his lawn if he belonged to anyone first, of course, as the last thing I would want to do is steal someone's Kwanzaa gift. The duderino told me that LA shelters often drop dogs off in that part of town hoping that they would wander into traffic to get hit - and then they don't have to worry about putting them down. Totally messed up ... but either way, I rescued Sam - LITERALLY ... and then made plans to take him to a vet and have the vet find him a good home. The guy I was dating/ living with at the time however, fell in love and kept him all these years. That dude now has a baby, wifey, and many doggies all on his own ... leaving Sam in need of a home. I kid you not when I say I adore this dog. He is super sweet, just needs a yard and a lot of love. If you live in LA, and are looking for a pup, please please please please please think about Sam. Seriously, I will never forget picking him up and then driving him to the vet and just having him kiss my hand for the next hour as I sat in LA traffic ... he just knew he was saved ... and seeing something happen to this dog will just break my nerdy little heart. So there you go ... I get the whole buddhist thing of "rescuing someone means you carry them on your back" or whatever, thing - because I do feel personally responsible for whatever happens to this dog. Either way, if you're interested please hit up this nerderino.

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!

I'll take him, I have lots of dogs (5, all of whom are rescues) who get lots of attention. They (I) live on a horse farm and get played with by everyone there...I realize the "(I)" can make it sound dirty, but you know what I mean :). The dogs have a MASSIVE 2.5 acre run with lots of toys, running water to drink from a human sized dog house (can email pics). The dogs all get along great, are welcome inside then house/on the couch and sometimes in bed. Let me know what ya think.
