Fun with #OkCupid: 3 different emails ... 3 different responses

First up, if you haven't read my OKC profile - you can check it out over yonder. Might make some sense to the things guys reply to, haha. But for reals, these are all actual emails I've received recently, and my actual responses back to them. It is through this transparent experience that I hope you all can take away some knowledge on what works and what doesn't in the hopes of making your online dating experiences that much more fanschmastically awesome. YAYYYY ONLINE DATING YAYYY!!! K ... cool ... here we go ...

Hm. I don't know why, but this email does nothing for me. I get why he's doing what he's doing ... but I'm just not feeling it. Maybe if this had been a local message, and he asked to meet me it'd be one thing - but as a regular email it just looks ... sad. 

Actual Response: None

Everything he said should theoretically "interest" me because he's complimenting me ... but if he had worded it a bit differently I might have responded back. 

Example: Hi there, 

I'm pretty blown away by your profile. The intelligence, wit, and comedy in your words make me want to know more. Plus, I think you're hot. Rock on! 

Perfect email right there. Kisses my ass the appropriate amount without being weird - it's confident without being creepy. Show some UUMMPPHHHH!!! Don't be that guy that says all of that and runs off saying, k - bye. Grow a pair of balls and stand by your words!!!!

This email is great! Complimentary without being too over the top. Just the right amount of spice to make it all very very nice. This is clearly a very genuine email - and it shines through. Be GENUINE and HONEST in an email without being puppy dog and falling all over the girl. Stand your ground, own your shit - and express it!
