A hoi hoi mateys!! It's Wednesday!! So you know what that meanssssssss ... time for @girlsIRL and the nerdy girl lounge! 

Yep, we know it's a holiday and all - but it's totes still going down. We be hardcore like that!!

What is the nerdy girl lounge from GirlsIRL you may ask? Well looky looky what I have right here!

The nerdy girl lounge is a support group for all struggling freelancers and talented digital artists out there. The goal of this group is to have a special place for us all to share our creative thoughts, hopes, and aspirations - and also create a place to hold ourselves accountable. Having a goal is one thing, having an ENTIRE team cheering you on making sure you accomplish it is another.

We're just a bunch of nerdy girls doin our thang - and supporting each other through the process. You don't have to be a freelancer, but you DO have to be a nerd and you DO have to be a female.

Oh, but don't worry - the dudeness is definitely filled, as our offices are inside the world famous Berrics.

Um, have you seen @Steve_Berra??? So many shades of everything gorgeous. Take him and times it by about 20 other equally gorgeous duderinos, and yooouuuuu have our offices.

Well that, plus, we're on a mock talk show set. Which just makes all of this THAT MUCH MORE HILARIOUS!!!

It's good times being had by all.

#NerdsUnite: Wanted - Apprentice (locally or remote)

A hoi hoi mateys,

SOOO our first week of office space inside the world famous Berrics was super effing rad. @JennHoffman and I have our offices set up on a mock talk show host desk. Totes not kidding either ... look!

Ah-maze-ing, and totes goes with our whole story and the brand's philosophy as a whole.

Either way, Jenn and I have a LOT of work to do to get GirlsIRL off the ground, and we need some general office assistant help.

Duties would include ...

• Researching information for pitches

• Helping to set up blog posts, etc.

A lot of this honestly can be done from wherever, but we'd love to add another body to our crew, so if you can come into the office one day a week - rad!

Show us whatcha got! I'm currently filing for an S-Corp, so not quite sure the process for colleges, but will look into it. Also just willing to bring someone in if they want to learn how to run a site. Must be a self starter, must be a go-getter and must be really fucking rad! We work hard and play harder round these parts, so let's just get it done!!! Jenn and I could really use some extra hands!

AHHH!! I am so so so so SOOOO excited nerderinos!!! 

@JennHoffman and I have been working for months now on launching GirlsIRL, and TONIGHT all the hardwork is starting to pay off. 

(And thank GOODNESS for that, I was starting to run out of elbow grease and that shit be EXPENSIVE!) 

The nerdy girl lounge from GirlsIRL is a place for all of us nerdy women to get together and share our ideas, thoughts, aspirations and most importantly a sacred place where we can all get together and hold ourselves accountable. For REALS! Having a goal in life is great, and one thing - but helping each other break it down into doable actions and cheer each other on while we execute is QUITE another.

I am INCREDIBLY humbled by the group that has been assembled in this community, and I KNOOOOWWW these women getting together on a regular basis will be able to accomplish some SERIOUSLY amazing things. 

Digital artists of all kind are welcome, even curious onlookers! Come one, come all! The purpose of the group is to educate and empower through technology as well, so come by and pick our brains!! We're here to help, we're here to give back, and we're here to keep doing cool shit. 

So let's work hard, get it done.

OMG OMG OMG you guys, you also have to understand this is QUITE possibly the closest thing I will ever have to being able to live out my dream of having a Babysitters club. For reals, think about it ... omg omg omg I just peed my pants a little. (dudes, I always wanted to be Claudia - which is funny now because I ended up with black hair ... coincidence ... I THINK NOT!) 

But yes, that's right duderinos, this is a girl's only club. ::sad trombone:: 

Don't worry however, the NERD HERD is this Saturday!!! So I can't wait to see some of your faces and hopefully make out. Only 8th grade makeout though ... actually come to think of it, I wasn't that slutty in the 8th grade ... 9th grade makeout circa 1999. (Times they be a changin!) Yep, that works!!

So friggen stoked man! We're partying tonight at the Tilted Kilt Pub in Mission Valley starting at 8 pm!! If you wanna hang out with some fanschmastically awesome nerdy girls - come say hi, man!! Tilted Kilt is hooking us up with some free appetizers, and the only pre-requisite is that you must drink beer, and can't suck. If you got those two down, I'd love to see ya!
