I needed to get this all off of my chest!

#TalkNerdyToMeLover's @thtrnerd221

As I’m sitting here writing this post, I should be working on my script. I’m not going to tell you what it’s about quite yet because I want to produce it at some point. I’ll post about it when I’m finished with it.

That got me thinking. Lately I’ve been feeling like life should be scripted. I’m going through a lot of uncertainty in my life.  I know what you all are thinking, what uncertainty does a nineteen year old have to go through? The truth is it’s not a whole ton, but what I am going through is a little overwhelming.  I’ll list out the uncertainties.

Uncertainty #1—What I’m Doing After School

This is where a lot of the freaking out is coming from. I want to move to the LA area after I’m done with my undergraduate degrees (theater performance, communication and possible German).  There are few things that could happen after I’m done.

One would be find a job in California, move out there and pursue an acting career while doing a comm. job, which wouldn’t be what I want to do for the rest of my life. I would really work on raising funds for Nerd Productions so that I could retain the rights to my scripts.

Two would be go to grad school out in California. I like this option, but I don’t know if I can afford this. I’m not sure that I’m going to go to school for film (acting or directing). What can a school teach me that I can’t teach myself through trial and error?  (^__^)

Three is sort of a plan b. I would love to do a year of ministry. There are several organizations that I would love to work with.

Uncertainty #2—What’s my Plan for Undergrad?

I keep tossing around the idea of finishing out my undergrad at some school in California. I’m not sure that is the most economical idea, especially if I’m going to study abroad in Germany and possibly going to grad school.

We’ll have to wait and see what I find out when I start looking at schools.

So I guess that’s all for the big uncertainties in my life right now. I’m sure I’ll figure out everything, but I wish that it was all figured out for me.

The one problem with trying to figure it all is my parents. They don’t like all my wonderful ideas for my life.

Lily Allen summed all up in her song Fuck You. See below and enjoy!

Ooooo...btw I can't wait for school. I just have to wait until Tuesday and then I'm free again.

#iTunes #Hackers

#TalkNerdyToMeLover's @maniacalmorgan

I don't know if you nerdy people have heard about all the fuss being made about iTunes hackers. Hackers buy iTunes gift cards on someone's iTunes account and sell them for a discounted price. Here's the lowdown from USAToday.com:

Cybercriminals are stepping up the hijacking of Apple iTunes accounts, often leaving consumers distraught.

Hijackers often begin by testing a few $1 purchases before moving on to larger transactions. They typically buy iTunes gift card codes, usually in $50 to $200 amounts. They then sell the codes — which can be used like cash to buy music and videos — at a steep discount, openly on the Internet. "Any online account that allows the transfer of funds can be a cash cow," says Randy Abrams, education director for anti-virus firm ESET.

Apple (AAPL) says there is little it can do about iTunes account hijacking. The company advises victims to change their passwords and contact their financial institution about being made whole.

ITunes hijacking has been happening for at least a year. It heated up after CEO Steve Jobs boasted at a June conference that Apple supports 150 million iTunes users, says Kurt Baumgartner, senior researcher atKaspersky Lab. Cybercriminals are opportunistic, he says. They know Apple stores credit and debit card, checking account and PayPal information to enable online transactions.

Jeremy Schwartz, a 24-year-old tech contractor from Maumee, Ohio, recently had to scramble to get his bank to reimburse $87. An intruder logged into his iTunes account and used his debit card account number to buy an iTunes gift card and other items. Schwartz launched a Facebook discussion page for angry iTunes victims, and shut down his iTunes account. "I refuse to buy from a company that can't even admit there's a problem when the problem is pretty big," he says.

Schwartz got his $87 back from Huntington Bank. Many others haven't been as lucky. A common complaint: Financial institutions and Apple often both deny responsibility, leaving the consumer to eat the loss, says LaToya Irby, a credit management blogger at About.com.

Consumers should keep anti-virus protection and all software updates current, change passwords often, avoid disclosing personal information and surf the Web judiciously. "Ultimately, it is up to the users to safeguard themselves," says Sean-Paul Correll, threat researcher at PandaLabs. Apple, he says, should consider advancing to better fraud-detection technology, more like what banks use.

It sucks, but it's reality. There are a couple of simple steps you can take to minimize the risk of getting hacked.

Use anti-virus software. AVG Free is a good one to use and as stated, it's free. If you don't mind spending a little bit of money, Norton Anti-Virus is a good one to go with. Another good habit to get into is to use anti-spyware software like Ad-Aware which you can download here

Reformat your computer. Reformatting your computer every 3-6 months is a must. Grab an external hard drive and put whatever you want to keep on there. When you reformat, your computer will be wiped clean and be virus free.

An #Unapologetically #Awesome Night in #WeHo

#TalkNerdyToMeLover's @maniacalmorgan

Guys, I had an amazing night last night! Your nerd queen Jen Friel and I went to Eleven down in West Hollywood to dance to some amazing music spun by Mr. Christian Wheel.

Drinking, dancing, and just carefree fun! We may or may not had a little too much to drink, but hey! It's all part of the fun. Christian Wheel is also an awesome guy. He's super cool and an awesome DJ. Not to mention he totally rocks the nerdy glasses. Bravo dude! Click here to check out Christian's website. Also, don't be afraid to check this club out! Eleven is a great place to go to get away from the pressure of life and just drink and enjoy yourself. There's plenty of male go-go dancers too if you're into that. #justsayin

But, yes... GREAT NIGHT!

Morgan is #Justsayin...

#TalkNerdyToMeLover's @maniacalmorgan

A woman walks up to a man and says, "We're having sex and there's nothing you can do about it." That's freaking sweet. Every guy's dream, right?

A man walks up to a woman and says, "We're having sex and there's nothing you can do about it." There's a word for that. "Rape" comes to mind. Yeah, not so cool, huh?

Double standards suck!
