VIP Passes for #SocialMedia = #fail

I just found out I have VIP passes for social media week. Here's the actual conversation that just transpired:

Them: Hey! We got you VIP passes for social media week.

Me: What do you mean VIP?

Them: Well, you get into panels for free and stuff. They then specifically mentioned the rock panel I just posted on - oddly enough.

Me: Well, isn't that panel for free? What added "bonus" do I get for being VIP?

Them: I don't know. Some cool parties?

UGHHHHHH!!!! People just do not get social media. WTF are there VIP passes for social media week? For real, none of us are that cool for school that we need to be VIP. Social media is about creating an even playing field. It's time to get social, not segregate between "vip and non-vip." UGHHH!!!
