Thanks for kicking it last night Danny!!!

So earlier in the week I announced that instead of bringing a random OKC date to the Walking Dead press event tonight - I'd MUCH rather take one of you fanschmastically awesome people!!! I then asked you guys to show me your brraaiinnnnsss and booyyy did you guys ever! 

Here is the best and worst entry and the announcement of our winner ... drumroll ...

#NerdsUnite: Who wants to be my date for the #WalkingDead press event at #SDCC??

Hi friends,

Fancy seeing you all round these parts again.

Thanks to my buddy @paulfierce - I got the heads up last week about the Walking Dead Comic Con party sponsored by Hyundai.

The cast will be there, and obvi, it's the big party Friday night - red carpet and all.

Super fun, and I'm genuinely a big Walking Dead fan (although the first half of season two was deplorable) .... so this is going to be a great event!

Rather than take some random OKC dude, I'd love love love for a reader of this site to be my date. Guy or girl, I don't care.

To win all you have to do is submit your best zombie impression.

Maybe you're a graphic designer and can design a gnarly zombie graphic ... or maybe you're an actor and want to submit a video ... maybe you're even a comic and just want to submit a zombie joke.

Any and or all of the above ... I just wanna see some brains and some good zombie schtuff ... so SHOW ME WHATCHA GOT NERDS!!!!

In addition to the event, I'm sure the whole TNTML crew will be up to something weird and random, so this will no doubt turn into an adventure and you're very very very welcome to come along for everything.

To win you MUST be in San Diego on Friday the 13th (the night of the event) at 8pm. The winner is responsible for their own transportation, accommodations, and all that other fancy pants stuff. I'll getcha into the event it's your job however to look the part and not be a douche to the celebs.

#TheWalkingDead: New #Trailer From #AMC

Omfg, another trailer for The Walking Dead. Normally, I'm against watching multiple trailers, but I've read the majority of the comics. I know what's going to happen, I'm just excited to see this interpreted as a TV show. I've been totally nerding out to zombies with Dead Rising 2 on Xbox 360. Such a good game! There's something about a zombie apocalypse that makes me giddy! Is that weird? Probably. Either way, check otu the new trailer! We are about 598 hours or 35879 minutes away from the premier on AMC. For those of you that don't want to do the math, it's 10:00PM PST on October 31st. Woo!

#TheWalkingDead Season 2 on #AMC

Do you remember me nerding out about this TV show a few weeks ago? Based on the comic series called The Walking Dead, it is set to premier on Halloween. So, do you want to know the crazy part? They are already committed to do a second season. Yeah, that's right... before anyone has seen an episode from the first. The first season is going to be 6 episodes long, while they plan on having season 2 be 13 episodes. That's a bold leap, but I think it's totally a smart one. Turning comics into live action movies / TV is hot right now. Iron Man, Smallville, Batman, etc. Oh wait, how about zombies? 28 Days Later, 28 Weeks Later, Resident Evil, etc. They are combining two popular mediums. I'm super excited for this show and you guys should be too. It's going to be great!

Producer and director Frank Darabont said, "It would be great not just to get out of the heat, but to present a different idea to the audience visually and tonally by having it be winter. There’s some really cool stuff that Kirkman did, where they find the one zombie that’s frozen to the ground. I’d never seen that before and that’s really cool." I couldn't agree more. The winter season in the book was fantastic. I can only imagine what Darabont has in his creative little mind!

It also would seem that Darabont is excited to introduce one of the new characters. Yeah, I don't blame him. She's 100% badass. “Or when Michonne shows up – and boy, is she a character I can’t wait to get to – when she comes striding out of the wasteland like a Clint Eastwood fuckinging spaghetti western character cross-melded with some samurai movie, like the Baby Cart character with the fucking sword, and there’s just a little drift of snow in the air. I would love to put that on film." said Darabont.

There's some creative genius at work! Filming for season 2 begins February 2011. Don't forget to check out the season premier of The Walking Dead, October 31 on AMC.
