<editorsnote> Hi, I'm Jen Friel, and we here at TNTML examine the lives of nerds outside of the basements and into the social media, and dating world.  We have over 75 peeps that write about their life in real time. (Real nerds, real time, real deal.) Sit back, relax, and enjoy some of the stories!! </editorsnote>

Perfect opening email on #okcupid

Looky, looky the email I just got. Yes, I know I post a lot of the weird ones that i get ... but I also like to highlight what works. Like this one ...

Cute, engaging, witty. I totally checked out his profile, and am totally planning on responding.

Don't ever say what you are ... SHOW ME!! Saying you're fun when you look like you have a rod so far up your ass in each picture, isn't going to get me to respond. Nor is, I'm funny and witty - while your profile screams boring, and stale.

THUMBS UP!!!!! This worked!!!

Your blog is awesome! I have my own blog about dating and whatnot, and I love coming across others! But, the reason for my comment, is that I want to vouche for this guy, Noah. He is one of my best dude friends, and I think he's just spectacular. I don't know about you, but if I could get recommendations from normal girls who new a guy before I went out with him, or even wasted my time getting to know him (and yes, I'm fairly normal), then I think life would be a little easier. Anway..good luck with your adventures in dating. I look forward to reading more!
