Generation Gap in uses for #Facebook

My mom cracks me up. She's on Facebook, clearly, and it astounds me just what a different purpose it serves in a social capacity for her age demographic versus my own.

If someone comments on my mom's status, or posts something on her wall ... she immediately follows up with "let's catch up this week!" She has an entire wall of "let's catch up later," or even better, "great catching up with you earlier!"

I on the other hand use Facebook so I do not have to catch up, I am ALREADY caught up.

I feel like that would be the equivalent of back in the day calling someone to ask them if you can schedule a time to catch up in person, versus catching up then and there, and oh yeah! on the phone!

It just makes me laugh EVERY.SINGLE.TIME. My mom is so effin adorable in her Facebooking ways. I just wanna pinch her little cheeks. BAHHH!!
