Dudes, this Oscar shit is soooooo fucking exhausting. Like crazy exhausting. BUTTTT the best part is, I am learning. For some god awful reason, you just cannot livestream at Hollywood and Highland. It is absolutely not a possibility. I tried it with LiveVideo and we ran off of sprint - got nada. I use Verizon to livestream from my phone - and nada. It comes in super choppy and overall blah. Super stoked though that we got on the main page of Ustream.
Ah yes, I am now among the thousands that have been under Paris Hilton. #SCORE!
Today was more of a test, tomorrow will be the super fancy pants stuff. Learning. Learning. Learning. My brain is processing it - livestreaming is my passion FEERRRR SUUURREEEE!!! I love going live in weird and random situations. I would do it more, but again, it takes a lot out of you. I need to stabilize things with the site more. Need to delegate a lot of shit out and get a full time team going ... but definitely need money. I can't pay anyone as is, and I SUPPERRLLLYYY appreciate all the help, but come on man, its about time we made what we're doing an actual business. This is RUBBISH! RUBBISH I TELL YOU!!!
Dudes, have you guys seen whats going on with Foursquare? They added a friend and follower feature. The default on a checkin is to not tell your followers. Is this an effort to make Foursquare more private to encourage more people to use it? One can only assume. Haven't read anywhere anyone talking about it either - but go to your Foursquare page. Here's mine:
WTF? Where did all that shit come from? I'm gonna do some snooping around to find out some more info, but I GUARANTEEEEE you it is being done as an effort to make it more private. I loves me some Foursquare, I'm just curious to know what those boys are up to. HMMMMMMMM!!
OH AND DUDE! We've been getting SOOOOOOOOOO many more robots crawling TNTML since the google algorithm changed. For reals, DOUBLE!!!! I am FUCKING STOKED, MAN! Go google for serving the end user better. Wahooooooo!!
Going to the Playboy Mansion later tonight. Needing to blow off some steam, no better place to do it. Definitely going to be an off grid night. HAHA! Lo siento mucho! It's a masquerade party, and since I didn't have a mask - I am just going to black out my eyes, draw on a face, and go as a panda bear. Hey, the eyes make it a mask! I'm stoked. I've never gone to a party topless before, but thank GOD for one, I won't be alone (not that that usually stops me from doing anything anyway), and two, I HAVE A CAR!! Ford hooked me up with a Fiesta for the Oscars. THANNKKKK YOUUU again Scott Monty!
Totally stoked that I'm not going to get arrested for being topless on a city bus going to the playboy mansion.
OMMMMMGGG I missed driving. OMG OMG OMG!!!
What a fucking weird time it is to be alive, that I have no money to my name, not even a credit card to be able to rent a car ... but you can ask a big wig at Ford directly for wheels, and somehow manage to get 'em. FUCKING BLOWS MY MIND!!!! You don't G-E-T if you don't A-S-K!!! Go, build your personal brand ... ANYONNNNEEEE CAN DO IT!!!!
Oh my lordy mickmordy, not gonna get on a tangent, promise.
Alrite, off to the gym. 9 lbs down since I started training. It really all came from my ass. I am such a butt girl - baby got some SERIOUS back. But for reals, if anyone knows whats kickin with Foursquare lemme know. SUPPERRR curious.

Helllo. Once more: Going to the playboy mansion, let alone again, let alone topless is not something that happens to girls who are nerds. These are things that cheesy sorority girls do.
How exactly are you a nerd? Oh right...
dude - lick a dick. ive been going to the mansion for YEARS! and FTR, i never went to college, so ex nay the sorority. but, i did spend the entire night talking about branding, and the power of social media. (see tweets for moronic responses to said interactions).
ps. saw your mom, she looked hot.
To The Girl Who Cried Nerd,
People offer you reasonable criticism to help your site stay on target and you tell them to 'lick a dick'. Smart. Then you make a "your mom" joke. Mesna.
Perhaps you do not realize the fact that you have been attending parties like this "for years" does not discredit the criticism, but only emphasizes the point. You keep trying to portray yourself as a nerd. This is great, if that is one's thing. But then for some reason, you constantly share details of a life that really has little to do with what people generally define as nerdiness. Perhaps you have your own definition-- one that involves being a former gameshow model, frequently attending Playboy mansion parties, dating a lot, convincing yourself that you are homeless, watching crrrrrazzy nerdy movies like Reality Bites, listening to Dave Matthews esque music, and praising underground obscurities such as Facebook.
Is this the new nerd? Can you understand why many people would find that off-putting and posery? Rather than constantly lash out at people who make that point, maybe you should actually absorb how to address that point by re-fashioning your site's messaging overall.
first off dude, totes mcgotes tongue in cheek. come on, we're having fun here not curing cancer ... and as far as the rest, am already working on things behind the scenes with content providers. =) stay tuned! xoxo
This is what I was thinking while skimming this:
Randombloging: That not-really nerdy guy
Why nerd? Why not techie? Her interest is not in classic nerd pursuits (D and D, Sci-Fi, Anime, etc.), and not even technology, but in communication and interaction. She likes networks. She likes how people are communicating online. But is that what "nerds" are now? Does nerd mean anything anymore? It is dying off? Does she just not know what really being a nerd is? Does she not care? Is the lack of college a factor? It shouldn't be. Maybe nerd has mutated.
Is there anyone else at a Playboy Mansion party who would want to be called a nerd? Why does she want to be? Is it because she feels socially awkward and nerd-like or because she wants to distinguish herself from others? Is "nerd" on a former "model" a branding thing, something that separates her from others? Is nerd on this site just marketing?
What is the point of all the Playboy Mansion stuff? If she really had a nerdy audience, it seems like the reaction would be either A. jealousy B. awe or C. disgust. So is she trying to make the audience envious? Does she want to be put on a pedestal by the unfortunates who don't hit playboy parties? Does she realize that most intelligent people are kinda grossed out by Hef and or his property? If you're a guy at one of those it's fine because you're looking at hot women, but if you actually have to talk to the models there, doesn't that kind of suck? They always seem so dumb to me. I can't imagine being a woman and having to talk to half-naked dimwits.
Does she even know what she's trying to convey? It seems like she's just being herself, but herself seems to be someone that her "nerd image" would reject. Why is she trying to take nerd away from nerds? Isn't being a techie girl enough? #techiesunite. #socialsunite I like to drink wine but I don't call myself a sommelier.
Who is visiting this site? I've seen girls write in, but most of the comments on twitter seem to be from dudes. And she's always networking with dudes. I don't see her lauding many women, it's always dudes. Who are her female heroes? Is she one of those girls who doesn't have any girlfriends? My girlfriend told me that girls like that are super-competitive and said she doesn't trust them. Is Jen just keeping her girlfriends hidden away? If so, is Jen not sharing everything? I don't think she should have to. And I don't think it's healthy to.
End of Transmission
Is it odd seeing the random thoughts a random blog inspires? In other news, I need a fucking hobby.
I think what I am reading from this is that nerdiness is not as much a part of the site as it used to be. There aren't any nerdy contributors or content. Because nerdiness is so universal these days - everyone is a nerd about something - actual nerds are fiercely protective of their title.
Are you much of a nerd? Not so much. The things you are nerdy about are things that most people in their 20's are nerdy about these days. We can all navigate the interwebz, SEO and write some code. We are all Facebook badasses, and we all have smartphones that hold our lives in them. After reading about your adventures, what does become clear is that you are slightly more nerdy than the company you choose to keep. Does that make you a nerd? Only when you are in that company. But in the digital world....no. It seems like you have lost focus of the passion that made you a nerd in the first place - and don't just say this site. You were a nerd before this site, this was just a platform to express it.
You have this following because people can smell the potential - but it has taken a strange turn, and while living vicariously is fun, we still need to be stimulated, and your debutante, albeit houseless, lifestyle is only stimulating to you.
thanks guys!!
