#FocusRally: Bios submitted!

Word to the bird jellyfish!! We're oot scootin and boogin with the #FocusRally!!! We of course being myself, and @lindsayMC aka this chick ...

UH HUHHHHH!!!

Here are the bios we had to submit to production this weekend:

Jen:  Single, 1 Dog

Jen lives life stupid enough to do a lot of weird and crazy things, but smart enough to never get caught.  She created, coded, marketed and promoted the nerd revolution, “Talk Nerdy To Me Lover” which in less than a year has a staff of 34, and whole lotta heart. She is most likely found behind the glow of her macbook pro, and loving every minute of it.

Lindsay: Single

“Why not?” is Lindsay’s mentality and splitting her time between the beach and the mountains as a surf and snowboard instructor in Southern California, Lindsay is always on the move. She has hitchhiked and backpacked through Europe, Australia and West Africa on her own and loves meeting new people and exploring new things. Lindsay uses social networking as a way to keep in touch with friends from the east coast, west coast, in the beach and on the mountains, as well as to meet new people along the way. Lindsay hopes to prove that ‘if a guy can do it, a girl can do it and make it look good!’ as well as to prove that once and for all, she is not as bad of a driver as her parents think she is.

The Team:

After being introduced by a mutual friend who thought they could learn from each other being two girls in male dominated environments, Jen and Lindsay really hit it off. As different as they seem, Jen and Lindsay became quick friends and discovered they had much more in common than they had ever would have thought. Where Lindsay lacks in social networking, Jen picks up the slack as the creator of Talk Nerdy to Me, Lover and where Jen lacks in typical sport and travel know-how, Lindsay picks up with her backpacking experience and ‘Go big or go home’ mentality. These girls are ready to take on any team on the road!

HAHA!! It's so funny now, I am completely incapable of writing a long anything. For reals - all my answers on the sheet they gave me were literally one word. Even writing that bio was like pulling teeth. Oy vey. Damn you brevity inducing twitter!! AARRGHHHH!!!

Anywhooooo ... I think we find out what the story is in another 2 weeks. So, we've still got some time. But either way ... check this out, looks super super superrrr effin cool!

#FocusRally Casting Today!!

W00t! W00t! W00t!!!

So, the casting peeps called me on Monday, and dude - totally thought Lindsay and I were going to have to skype with some peeps or something first ... but oh no, we have an actual interview at my client who I never gave an invoice to because I knew there would be a bigger and better opportunity than what I could have charged him for a bio's office. HAHA!! I am the FourSquare Mayor of HIS office. Now if that's not social media, I don't know what is. So, so, SOOOOO!! excited for this.

Dude, I not only get a loverly participation check, but when we win, Lindsay and I are going to get 100K and be able to give away TEN yes TENNNNNNN Ford Focuses on this loverly website.

Tell me that's not nuts!!! How many websites do you know of today that are about to have the chance to give away a car?!?!?! BAHHH!!!

Super excited. Like crazy super excited. This project will be airing on Hulu too - so it doesn't get much nerdier.

#AmazeBalls: #FocusRally Casting Wednesday!!

Totally unrelated picture. Just made me smile.DUDESS!! So, today kinda made my life. I got a call from the peeps over at the Ford Focus Rally, and found out that my audition time is this Wednesday!!! SUPPERRRR stoked!!!! I immediately called Lindsay completely tripping, as I had to make sure she was available as well.

And AHHHH!!! So excited!!! Talk about SMART!! Even though I was technically hired by Bertram for his bio, I never accepted a paycheck, and he never even published what I wrote. Don't get me wrong ... I take pride in that 7 page masterpiece of bio-ness. But, after reading the contracts they sent over, if I had actually accepted payment and been an official employee, it would have effected my participation. HAHAHAHAAHAHAAHAHAAH!!!!! That = epic. So this man just got to inspire the bejesus out of me, and I got to have all those meetings with him telling him what I knew ... I mean come ON!!!! Life is so illogical. I kept telling my parents, and friends that I couldn't invoice him. Even when I was HOMELESS I could have sent that man an invoice and gotten out of it. But, it never felt right. Two things to follow in life: Feels good/ doesn't feel good. I knew there was a bigger prize. It made no sense to me at the time, and trust, everyone thought I was bat shit crazy ... but now, I'm pretty grateful. It presented itself with yet another pretty awesome opportunity, and I'm just gonna go with it. Cause that's what I do ... andddd yah! AND!! OMG OMG OMG!!!! Production runs from January 2011 - March 2011 tentatively. That means 3 months of a stress free place and or car to live. YAY!!!!

Dude, its HIGH-LARIOUS I am totally the mayor of the casting office. Now if that's not some SERIOUSLY epic usage of social media, I don't know what is.

OH and PS. My partner in this movement has both jumped out of a plane and milked a goat. This is why Lindsay is on my Zombie Apocalypse list. AHHHMAZIINNGG!!!

Ford is teaming up with the creators of The Amazing Race to create a new web series -- Focus Rally: America. It's the ultimate interactive cross-country road rally. We're looking for an elite group to take the wheel of the all-new 2012 Focus for five weeks, beginning in February -- digitally savvy people with a hunger for adventure.

Dude, the BEST part about this is that not only will you guys get to watch us compete, but you get to friggen INTERACT ANNNNDDDDDDDDDD be up for winning a FORD FOCUS!! Like wha!!! Wha!!! Whaaaa!!!

I am like so crazy, stupid, excited about this ... I just ... yeah. I don't think voting or anything is up yet, but I'll keep you guys posted on what I hear from the casting directors. Jigga ... Jigga ... Jigga ...

Alrite, so back in June ... when I didn't get the gig with the CEO of AOL, I contacted the only client I kept during this whole being homeless, but believing in social media shabang, WHOOOOO is also the creator of a bajillion time emmy award winning show.

I said very matter of fact, this is where these trends are going and this is what you need to know ... blah blah blah. Dude, it was bitchin.

WELL!!! I just read on Mashable, that they got the green light, and are moving into casting!!!!!!!!!!! DUDE!!!!!!!!!! This is like my thing!!!!!!!!

It's like the Fiesta Movement, but on crack.

I'm super stoked, and totally crossing my nerdy little fingers that something comes of this. Going to be emailing him in a bit, and following up with a call ... OMG! So excited. And yeah, that's all.
