Every month we offer desktop wallpapers that are designed to feature a particular typography as well as the calendar month.  In August 2010, we featured a calender titled 4sq. This particular design had the Foursquare Nerd Panel badge in the forefront, and the other badges in the background.  The design was so well received that we decided to make a non-calendar version.

Dude, everyone makes fun of me for this ... but see if this makes sense to you. I don't have a concept of time. It's horrible, but in this space I work when I'm creative and sleep when my body physically passes out; time becomes irrelevant as the people that I talk to are all around the world.

All that being said, my measurement of time is dependent upon the animals on my desktop. I set it to change every hour, and I know that if I've seen two snow leopards it's time for me to step away from the computer and go for a walk. For real ... 6am, 6pm ... noon, midnight ... all rubbish. But two snow leopards? OOHHH WOW!! Get out of the house, Jen.

Anyone else do this?

Ring in the New Year with @foursquare and Bravo (and be on TV)!

Bravo and MTV raced to 100k followers on foursquare, which showed how much you guys love your TV brands. After hitting that milestone, we worked with Bravo on ways to get their fans even closer to the TV experience. So this New Year’s, you can be on TV, showing up on Andy Cohen’s Live New Year’s Eve Special!

Bravo has already chosen two lucky Andy Cohen badge recipients to party in the studio with the Top Chefs and Real Housewives. And throughout the televised special, a ticker at the bottom of the screen will broadcast Bravo followers celebrating on New Year’s Eve. If you follow Bravo and check in on New Year’s Eve, your profile photo, first name and last initial, and hometown may appear on TV — don’t worry, no last names or check-in details are shared!

Bravo is super psyched to give our users the chance to get their face on TV. It’s the first time anything like this has been done, and we’re excited to make you all a part of it.

For those of you who want to be involved, just head over to Bravo’s page, follow them, and then remember to check in on New Year’s Eve. Dude, FourSquare is totally going to enter into the entertainment based checkin game! About time!!! There are no loyalties established within Clicker, Miso, or Get Glue. Netflix would serve as just the most convenient - or even hulu could enter and offer checkins. But good job FourSquare! They have, what, 5 million active users now? The nerds LOVE LOVE LOVE foursquare - but it only serves to those who putz about a lot. What about the nerds that don't leave the house for one reason or another? You've just opened yourself up to an entirely new market. KUDOS!!

@Foursquare offers Android update with photo sharing

OMG OMG OMG!!! YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

The photo sharing option on checkin is now available for the Droidddddd!!!! Greatest news like ever schmever mc-weather for a lifecaster. Dude, they've needed this for long it's like re-dic! Now ... it has arrived!!

1. Go to the market app on your Droid.

2. Search for FourSquare.

3. Click update.

4. Wait 5.7 seconds. Lick your toe. Touch your nose. 

5. Repeat step 4

Am I still talking ?? Shut up Jen ...

NOOOOO!! @FourSquare photos not available for Droid

Dude, I got so excited over the @Foursquare photo and checkin comment this afternoon that I went and busted out with a Carlton happy dance!!!

But alas, I twinkled my toes a bit to early ... as there is no update for the Android OS just yet.

Yep, no love for FourSquare's illegitimate red headed stepchild.

Bastards ... in the meantime, totes mcgotes update it anyway. There was one released I guess on the 15th? MAJOORRRR overhaul in the user interface. I'm such a slacker when it comes to updating, but this one DEF looks more like the iphone interface, which has always been prettier. *sigh*

Either way, the new photo adding option should be available on the droid later this week. Here's what an update looked like via the iPhone version:
