SpiritHoods Like-a-thon Fundraiser

Alright, so SpiritHoods is doing something pretty darn cool if you ask me. I mean, you're not asking me... which just leaves me pushing my opinion on you. IT'S COOL DAMNIT! Anyway, for every "like" they get on their Facebook page, they are going to be donating 25¢ to the World Wildlife Fund (WWF). The goal is to raise $10,000 in 48 hours. Tell your friends!

Xyzyx: The Greatest Band in the World

Xyzyx is like a Weezer meets Foo Fighters with the stage presence of Spinal Tap. 

Ok, so maaaaaybe I'm exadurating just a bit, but Xyzyx is amazing. They also happen to be friends of mine, but that's besides the point. Or maybe, it's the whole point. ANYWAY, here's the deal. These amazing folks are working on releasing their first EP. That's right, a record! The only thing is that they don't have enough money! They are using Kickstart to try and cover some of the costs and they are already over 2/3 of the way there. Instead of spending $10 on some Natty Ice, donate $10 to help Xyzyx release their EP! Technically, you are pledging to donate money. If they don't reach their $3,000 goal in pledges by Friday, no one gets charged. Also, you get all sorts of goodies when you donate. Well, hello there. It's been a while. Wipe those tears away, I'm still alive and kicking. And not just any kicking, I'm kicking stylishly. Anyway, there's some cool shit going on for you folks local to the Los Angeles area. SpiritHoods is going to be having a bonfire down at Dockweiler. Here are the details.

For those of you curious as to where Dockweiler is and are far too lazy to Google it, it's 2 beaches south of Venice, right by LAX. Come by, say hi! Hey LA, There's a Kitty in Need!

Hey guys! We have an animal in need. Somone reached out to me for help. Her neighbor moved and left their cat behind. This girl has been nice enough to feed the poor cat and provide it shelter, but she does already have 2 pets of her own and doesn't have room for another. Here's what she had to say about the kitty:

This poor cat was left behind by his owners last week. He is very friendly and loves belly rubs. He is not neutered. We would love to keep him but we live in an Apt and already have a dog and cat. We've been feeding him everyday and provided him shelter. I really don't want to take him to the shelter and would like someone to take him in. People can contact me at pet.donations@gmail.com
