Dear #FocusRally Casting Peeps

*waves* Hi, my name is Jen. You were saying in the video that you were looking for people who were willing to do anything ... well, anything is my middle name! No, actually - my middle name is Dorothy, but anything does have a bit of a certain shazamm to it ... and not like Shazam the app, but that would be a cool middle name too. Am I still talking, er writing? Moving on ...

I do a lot of weird things. Frankly, because I barter social media to live, so to get groceries sometimes I've had to get pretty clever. Like the time I ate beef jerky for 30 days and called it the #BJDiet on Twitter.

That was fun. Except for all the benefiber. That wasn't fun.

ORRRRR!! The time I got a bedding company, www.itsthesheets.com to sponsor a sky dive in celebration of their unapologetically awesome sheets which I wore as a security blanket as I livestreamed on Ustream my drive up to the skydiving place. See, I even jumped from a plane and remembered to thank them ...

That was fun.

Wait, who am I kidding ... that was a LOT of fun!!

and interacting with peeps at home via social media?!? DUDE!! Totally did that when I sat next to Billy Gibbons on a flight back to LA.

So yeah ... I'm game. Like totally. And not game the rapper, cause that would have meant I had a sex and gang member status update change, but you know what I mean.

#FocusRally + #TNTML = Life Complete

This nerdy tech community making love to Hollyhood is just the greatest thing since sliced bread. Seriously, sliced bread & nerd hollywood. That's just it. Life = complete.

Ford is teaming up with the creators of The Amazing Race to create a new web series -- Focus Rally: America. It's the ultimate interactive cross-country road rally. We're looking for an elite group to take the wheel of the all-new 2012 Focus for five weeks, beginning in February -- digitally savvy people with a hunger for adventure.

Dude, the BEST part about this is that not only will you guys get to watch us compete, but you get to friggen INTERACT ANNNNDDDDDDDDDD be up for winning a FORD FOCUS!! Like wha!!! Wha!!! Whaaaa!!!

I am like so crazy, stupid, excited about this ... I just ... yeah. I don't think voting or anything is up yet, but I'll keep you guys posted on what I hear from the casting directors. Jigga ... Jigga ... Jigga ...

Crossing my fingers, crossing my toes, didn't forget to pick my nose.

OH! And check out the chickadee I am going to partner with. Dude, she barters staying in hostels around the world, and she's hot. JEEBUS!

PS. "casting was intense" DUDE! IT WAS ONE SHEET OF PAPER!! #FacePalm

Status Update of #Wisdom

#TalkNerdyToMeLover's @craig_church

Note: It's time to cut down a bit on the movie/television references and start including some wise words from my favorite authors. Content is suited to nerds and regular folk alike...

“I’ve been making a list of the things they don’t teach you at school. They don’t teach you how to love somebody. They don’t teach you how to be famous. They don’t teach you how to be rich or how to be poor. They don’t teach you how to walk away from someone you don’t love any longer. They don’t teach you how to know what’s going on in someone else’s mind. They don’t teach you what to say to someone who’s dying. They don’t teach you anything worth knowing.”

#Nerdgasm: Raising Hope

#TalkNerdyToMeLover's @UlaVovk

"How the hell did this happen?" "Well, you went out for Ice Cream and had unprotected sex with a serial killer!"

Raising Hope is a 20-minute Sitcom about a guy who works for his dad. They clean pools, mown lawns and basically make rich people's backyards look nice.
But all that changes when Jimmy's family runs out of Bubblegum Ice Cream and on his way back home he saves a woman that's being chased by some guy.

They spent the night in his van, having... well, bumpin' uglies. In the morning he finds out, she's a serial killer.

Put simply, his mom smacks her over her head with a TV, they call the police and she's sentenced to an electric chair. When she has only a month left she calls Jimmy to prison to tell him she's pregnant. When they electrocute her, Jimmy gets stuck with the baby - Princess Beyoncé. To top it all he has the craziest family around and that's your comedy right there.
