T minus 6 hours until my mini vacation/ adventure/ celebration of unapologetic awesomeness, and OMMMMGGG!!! KOKOMO JUST CAME ON PANDORA!!! I kid you not - LOOK!

KID YOU NOOOOOTTTTTTTTTT ... this is happening. BAH! And on my Prince station too? That's kinda weird. That music genome project does some freaky deaky stuff.

Are you a fan of Kung fu movies? I gotta say I'm not. At least I'm not crazy about them. But I decided to watch Reign of Assassins yesterday anyway. And I gotta say I really liked it.

"Set in ancient China, Zeng Jing is a skilled assassin who finds herself in possession of a mystical Buddhist monk's remains. She begins a quest to return the remains to its rightful resting place, and thus places herself in mortal danger because a team of assassins is in a deadly pursuit to possess the remains which holds an ancient power-wielding secret. " -IMDb

At first I thought the movie was really weird - the story had no beginning, no end, everything was mixed together and so many names were dropped in first few minutes I didn't remember any of them. On top of it all they spoke Japanese - which I liked because Kung fu movies in English lose their orient touch a bit - but it was just a little confusing for me to read the subtitles and follow the story that was a bit unclear .

The main character is Zeng Jing (Michelle Yeoh) aka Drizzle, a member of Dark Stone assassins guild that seeks the remains of the monk. Drizzle is the one that finds half of the remains and that's when she disappears without a trace. From that point on a wild chase after Drizzle is ordered by the leader of the guild, who is determined to obtain both halves of the remains to regain youth and posses ultimate Kung fu skills.

Fighting scenes in the movie were absolutely awesome and that is also the part I liked the most. Kick-ass moves and a few awesome effects made me squint and gasp as I watched Drizzle getting attacked from every direction.

I don't wanna reveal too much for those who have not seen it yet so I'll just say this: the movie is full of surprises and twists, we get to see a crazy horny chick, some noodle porn (you'll know it when you see it) and luckily, at the end of the movie suddenly you understand everything that happened in first hour and a half.
