#Facebook to its users: F*ck you bitches

Warning, the following is not a joke!

Per TechCrunch: TechCrunch reader Saul Lustgarten checks in to tell us he logged on to Facebook this morning and noticed that the list of his friends who are having their birthday today was preceded by a crude message, reading “fuck you bitches”.

Yeah right, we thought. I checked it out on my Facebook profile and didn’t notice anything off.

Then, I followed Saul’s suggestion of switching my main language to Spanish instead of English, and lo and behold (click for full-size image):

We’ve contacted Facebook to see if they really mean it or if their army of volunteer translators – there are two sides to that shiny crowdsourcing medal after all – or one of their coders simply decided to have some fun.

Update: sorry to disappoint, but it seems to be fixed now. But it was definitely there.

I am mildly obsessed with this song ... and when I say mildly, I really mean I chant it for hours every day in deep meditation, and hum it to bed at night as a sweet sweet lullaby.

This is very literally one of the best examples of well executed music supervision I have heard in a while. This song IMMEDIATELY takes my brain to the Eat.Pray.Love. Trailer. Kudos!!!!

Either way, I can't get enough of this ... enjoooyyyyy!!!

Facebook #Questions ...

SOO!! Facebook unveiled their new "questions" format yesterday. I didn't have enough time to play around with it yesterday, so I couldn't properly formulate an opinion ... however, WTF?! Why can't I tag people or pages anymore?!?! You know when you @reply on someone's name, it would tag them in a post ... and yada yada. Was a BIG part of my marketing, and it doesn't seem to let me do it anymore!! I'm going to have to finagle with it a bit more ... but just remember nerds, any questions you ask on Facebook Questions are then posted to ALL of FACEBOOK!!! ALL 500 million users! Sooo, if you've got privacy issues, you might want to be careful what you ask.

I'm super stoked for this from a nerdy social media stand point. It's going to open even MORE channels of communication with friends of friends of friends, and that's just too cool for school in my book. Good job, Marky Mark!!
