This Needs to Stop!! #NOH8

I know that I was just recently on this soapbox, but because Jen has opened up this awesome site to me as a medium to share my message of equality to all, I thought I would share this with you all.

I just saw a tweet from @NOH8Campaign about an article that ran in an Ugandan tabloid about the 100 "top homos". It gave their names and adresses and called for them to be hanged. I know this didn't happen in the US, but why should anyone anywhere stand for this. I make a pretty good assumption that the tabloid was pressured by the government to run that article, but still. No one should have to live in fear of persecution. Here's a link to a description of what was in the article.

I earge all of you if you hear anything like this, no matter whatn your personal feeling on homosexuality are, try to stop it. It's easy to shrug things off when they don't happen in your own community. I understand that, but if you can change the hearts and minds of those around you, you can change the world.

Life's stressful for Nerd

Well, I know that I've ranted on numerous occasions that my life sucks, but I really feel like that right now. I have some much stuff going on right now and school is catching up to me. Not because I'm not doing my homework, but because everything seems to be do with in a short period of time.

Let me explain. I'm taking an acting class and a choir class. My performances for both classes are Wednesday. Not the end of the world, except I can tell that I'm getting sick. I'm extremely stress and my chest is congested. Not a good combination.

I was at my parents house this past weekend and mother, bless her soul, tired to convince me yet again that I should go into a science field. I really enjoy science, but I can't see myself doing that for rest of my life. I know that I would become really bored really quickly because I wouldn't have a creative outlet.

This really bothers me. I've had people tell me that I should go and do what I want to do and not worry about other people's approval, but that's so difficult to do. I don't want to disappoint my parents. I know that they want what's best for me, but it's annoying. I really makes me frustrated.

In other more bright news, I thought that I would share this new YouTube video. It's a parody of Katy Perry's Teenage Dream. It's really sad, but I thought that I would share it with you all because I think that it has a really good message.

One more thing, if there is any way that you can wear purple on Wednesday, that would be awesome.  It's to support the LGBTQ suicides that happened recently. Here's a link to the Facebook event.

On Saturday, October 9^th, I posted an article stating that I was starting a TNTML YouTube collab channel. Due to the overwhelming response, I am happy to say that I have found 6 other unapologetically awesome nerds who are willing to embark on this journey with me.

Starting October 18^th, we will begin with giving you all a little background information about ourselves. We tell you are likes and dislikes, name, what makes us a nerd.

One More Way for Nerds to Unite

Some people would say that I have a problem.  In fact, there are times that I think that I have a problem. What’s the problem? You really want to know? I spend way too much time on YouTube. I tend to put off the things that I should do and spend time watching videos. Oops. My bad. Don’t judge me.

Recently, I have been getting into collab channels. With watching the most recent discovery of 5 Awesome Girls, I decided I really wanted to start a collab channel. So I started thinking, what group of people can I turn to finding people that would be interested in vlogging?

Then, the light bulb went off. TNTML would be the perfect place to turn to find people who would want to do something like this. I turned to the staff and that brings us to now.

I know that there are a lot of different ways to run a collab channel. We’re running ours sort of how Vlog Candy does. They do a challenge and then vlog about something. To be different, we’re going to try to keep our challenges and vlog topics more nerd related. I’m sure that won’t happen entirely, but it’s worth the try.

Randombling with Nerd

 Things have slowly been changing for me this year. I'm not sure that it was all for the good. I'm about to be going back to school, which is fine, excecpt I'm going to have to deal with an ex which I don't really want to do. I'm in the process of looking at transfering schools because the school that I go to doesn't have a film program and I know that I want to create films when I get older.

But that leads me to something exciting. I'm going to be working on a project starting Sept. 1 for a full year. It's going me trying to figure out who me is again and where I belong.

Ooooo....that reminds me. My logo is all finished. Take a look. It's for my infant film production company. It's named Nerd Productions. It has to do with the username that I use for a lot of accounts these days. I'll post a link to the youtube page when I get around to making it, which should be soon.

I have to give a huge shout out to Jordan (@SaintPepsi) for doing this logo for me. I'm not a visual artist and I give him a massive amount of credit for give me such an awesome logo. It's not exactly what I had in mind, but it's way better than anything I could have drawn.

Really random thought: it looks sort of like a cross between Harry and Ron from Harry Potter. The charater has red hair like Ron and broken glasses like Harry did early in the first book.

Anyways I didn't get the job that would have paid me to do all the things that I love, which is a big huge bummer. I was really hoping to get that job, but oh well. I do have the opportunity to vlog and/or right for another blog which is really exciting for me because in front of the camera is where I belong.

Now that I have gone way over on my randombling, I will leave you with these words:
