Novice Nerd: Why hot girls <3 Nerds.

A few days ago, a group of girlfriends and I had our regular night out to eat, drink and talk about boys.
Now, being Talk Nerdy’s novice nerd, you won’t surprised when I admit a penchant for the geekier males of the species, but you may be interested to know that I’m far from alone in this proclivity. So, as a public service, I compiled our top reasons why girls should date a nerd.*
Being a Nerd and being a Hottie are not mutually exclusive qualities.
One “on paper” nerd I dated had a computer science degree and was the only person ever to kick my ass in scrabble. He was also 6’2”, built and is still referred to by my friends as “the super hot one”.
He’ll always know what’s wrong with your computer.
He’ll always be able to fix it. And he will NEVER make you feel stupid because you couldn’t. And, in my experience, he’ll take the time to show you exactly how you could fix it, if you want him to, in language you actually understand. He can also hook up the TV, connect the DVD player and set the clock on your microwave. And he’ll willingly do it for your friends too.
He’ll get your jokes.
Most of my friends are incredibly clever, as well as being gorgeous. All guys appreciate the exterior, but finding a guy who appreciates our love for graphjam and laughs at our corny lines like “I could go for a slice of Pi” is rare and should be cherished.
They don’t feel the need to prove their machismo
Most nerds are confident in who they are and don’t feel the need to play games or treat girls like shit. And god bless them for it. I’ve always disdained bad boys, but for my friends who had to go through that phase, they can’t believe they wasted their time being treated like crap when they could be treated like a princess by someone who is still mentally and, ahem, physically stimulating. Which brings me nicely to my next point…
Jocks waste their testosterone on the field. Nerds keep it for you.
Anecdotal evidence from a wide range of girlfriends proves that nerds are more fun to get naked with than any other “group” of guys we’ve dated. This is not to bash other groups of guys, (in general, girls love all boys,) but there are plenty of hot, hot nerds out there, and extensive research (not all mine, OBVIOUSLY) proves they’re a better bet in bed. Do the maths: all nerds spend most of their time thinking about sex, all nerds push themselves to excel and all nerds are very quick to pick up new skills.
He’s not a douche bag and neither are his friends.
All the nerds I’ve dated have had great groups of friends, who are intelligent, kind and HILARIOUS. They’ll welcome you into their posse and always treat you with respect. They’ll acknowledge your beauty and worth, and make you feel great about yourself, without ever being sleazy or inappropriate. They get that you’re dating their friend, and they’re stoked for both of you.

And finally: The nerds of today are the bosses of tomorrow.
Two words y’all: Bill. Gates.
