They're Talking Nerdy Baby: #NerdsUnite
Looky looky the email I just got ...
First off, thanks for reaching out. Really appreciate it ... for reals. Second of all, everything on this site is life documented first hand. We're a lifestyle brand exploring life through the four eyes of some pretty nerdy people. That's it. I have no interest in this becoming a "news" site, unless it is first hand reporting on the meteor that actually crashed in one of the members of the staff's backyard. Social media is an incredible tool. It is a communication channel that is being explored more and more everyday and has single handedly given the power back to the people and created this platform where one voice could be RTed to potentially millions; it's immeasurable. I very honestly cannot report on EVERY.SINGLE. bit of it all, or I'd go mad. You'd go mad, and all this fun that we're having would gradually dissipate.
How do I decide what to post on in social media? If I say to myself, huh, that was cool! Then it will most likely get a post. That's it. I really wish I could say it was cooler, or more thought out than that ... but its not. I just do, and it feels good.
I did however reach out to our nerdy political advisor @Matt_Zarbcousin, and hopefully he can provide some perspective for you on this issue.
If you guys EVVEERRRRR have feedback on anything you want discussed - please don't hesitate to message me. I am impossible to offend and am learning just as much about what is working and what isn't by simply doing it. If you're not liking some of the content, dude, totally tell me - and I'll review it. No offense taken, all that snazzy jazzy ... just really appreciate you all reading.

I stopped reading the papers and watching the news because it just made me angry every day, and i have no doubt that if Jen or any of the other Nerds here posted Political commentaries i'd most likely not read them, i'd skim past them.
Tassoula, Jen is a Lifecaster, she broadcasts her life and experiences through this site and Social Media (Thank you Jen) But if you feel that this site should post how Social Media is affecting Governments because its a popular site for Social Media "With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility" (Can't believe you quoted Spider-Man heehee) Maybe you should take the Responsibility and start your own Blog or even like Jen did, start your own website dedicated to showing how Social Media is affecting Governments worldwide, just a thought. Its easy to get someone else to it if they are in a position of influence, But then Jen has worked hard to reach that stage, And like she always says, "If i can do it, anyone can, i'm not special, i'm awesome".
absofreakinglutely! great point Jay! and lemme know too babe if you do start the blog, ill give you loads of link love. xoxoxoxoxoooo
Honestly, fiskyjay, your comment looks like "fuck it, let's stay dumb." Yuck.
I agree that TNTML may not be the place for a high-level social media discussion, but I wouldn't mind some "commentary on social media" since the phrase is at the top of every page. If this is just Jen's personal multimedia blog, that's fine, but let's not pretend there is actual news or opinion on social media being discussed. It should be TNTML -- Jen's personal journey through social media.
hey micheala ... its not my intention to have this be solely my journey through social media. its SOCIAL media the social component is really the heart of all of this. what im working on is just getting specific people in specific areas of expertise commenting on things as they happen. everything first hand. like with lifecasting. i only report on my experiences very first hand and bring you all along for the journey.
we're definitely going to be going through some changes as everything is evolving on both the front end of this site and the back end. but really really really appreciate the input.
thanks!
