Fun with #Facebook: Ever been blocked from a friend's wall?

Okay ... problemo ... need to know if I am over thinking something, or if this is part of the whole Facebook changing social structure type things.

A friend of mine posted a picture on Facebook the other day that popped up in my newsfeed (obviously), and when I clicked on it - it said "this wall has no posts." HAHA, funny I thought. Must be a Facebook bug, as Facebook had been pretty buggy for me all day.

Thought nothing about it, put it out of my mind - until just a little bit ago. I'm a nerd, social media is my shit, if something acts buggy I like absolutely and MUST know why. Clicked back, still said "this wall has no posts." Looked over to the left hand navigation and noticed that I didn't have access to their wall. I got blocked. My first response was, really? I was oddly hurt, and a bit perplexed as to why this person would block me from their wall. It's nuts to me too, because this person obviously knows I work in social media. So like, someone that doesn't work in this space might just think oh, they have no wall ... ha ha. But dude, this I get. I don't get much, but Facebook ... I breathe.

Is it weird that my first reaction was to feel hurt? Then again how could one not feel hurt when someone with direct, and deliberate intent goes into their settings and adds your name to a privacy feature.

So fucking weird. Is there a code of friendship for this type of thing? Does it make a difference if a girl does it to a boy or a boy does it to a girl - or same sex does it to each other? What if the two have had sex? Does that change things? Just curious if anyone else has caught someone blocking them. It is an oddly painful thing. I feel like unfriending would be better. I'd MUCH rather be unfriended than blocked so blatantly. Leaves such a gnarly taste in the mouth.

Interesting to note though, even if someone does block you from their wall, it still shows up in your newsfeed. There has to be an extra setting to block that.

Future recommendation - just unfriend. No hard feelings, and honestly might not have even noticed.
