#Thor #Trailer

#TalkNerdyToMeLover's @maniacalmorgan

So, this movie is upon us. May 6th, it's happening and can I just tell you how excited I am? Actually, I don't know if I can tell you how excited I am, so you'll just have to be creative. I kinda have a thing for superheros. Who would have guessed? Ladies, take note. Superhero costumes are a plus. Anyway, I thought I should share the trailer with you. Oh yeah, did I mention it's going to be in 3D? F-yes! I just hope it's the real 3D like Avatar and not the crappy 3D like Tron: Legacy. Anywho, enjoy!

#Benchwarmers = Best.Nerd.Movie.Ever.

#TalkNerdyToMeLover's @JenSquard

At Gold's Gym, where I go to get my swell on, they have a thing called Cardio Cinema.  It's this big dark room with a huge screen just like a movie theater, except it is full of cardio equipment.  Oh man, it's flippin brilliant.  You go in there, and watch a movie.  I love that it is dark so no one can see my bumbling buns, and the movie screen is so big that you really don't get bored.  Totally badass.  And guess what movie they were playing today?  The best nerd movie ever!  BENCHWARMERS!

Love that movie!  Favorite part:

"And he did that without steroids!"  "What are steroids?"  "They are things that make your peepee small."  "Oh, there must be steroids in macaroni!"

The nerdiest of nerds - Jon Heder, Nick Swardson, David Spade, Rob Schneider, John Lovitz, and directed by my lover, Adam Sandler.  The end, the best. Ever.

#TheLastAirbender: I think I liked it...

#TalkNerdyToMeLover's @maniacalmorgan

Yep, I think I actually liked M. Night Shyamalan's The Last Airbender. For those of you not familiar with this M. Night Shyamalan flop (then again, most of his movies have flopped), here's what Rotten Tomatoes had to say about it.

Yeah, 6%. Surprisingly, the only movie that was worse according to Rotten Tomatoes was Vampires Suck. So, despite how bad everyone said it was, I enjoyed the movie. The real question is why?

One of the complaints voiced was that the plot jumped around too much for audiences. Let me preface this by saying that if you watched Avatar: The Last Airbender the show (which is totally on Netflix Instant Queue) everything would make sense. I want to say most people that saw the movie didn't watch the show because it was a cartoon on Nickelodeon. Despite being a "kid's" show, it is still an awesome story with great character development. Definitely worth watching. Anywho, the movie did have to do some jumping around due to the fact that M. Night Shyamalan had to fit 10 hours of story into a movie that was only 1 hour and 43 minutes. So, having seen the show definitely helped fill in the details from all the jumping around and would recommended for anyone to watch the show, especially if you are thinking about watching the movie.

The visual effects were pretty freaking awesome. I regret not seeing this in 3-D, but even as a standard movie the effects were solid. The bending of the elements was really fun to watch in live action. The cartoon definitely captured my imagination and interest, so seeing it translated to the big screen was mind blowing to a degree. Ang's air bending was done really well. It was so fun to watch Ang literally blow people away. The water, earth, and fire bending were equally awesome. We'll get to see more earth bending in the next movie as that will be the next element that Ang needs to learn.

Long story short; if you hated The Last Airbender, then you more than likely didn't see the TV show. Go watch the TV show. I promise you, it's really good and you won't be disappointed. You can click right here to be taken to it on Netflix. See, I did all the hard work for you. All you have to do is watch!
