Yesterday, I got to take my parents down to the red carpet which was pretty cool ...
We were able to take some shots of the three of us, but they're on my dad's camera and I have to make sure I block out my pass as I can get a superly duperly gnarly fine for photographing that thing.
Anywho ... my dress is puurrrrttttyyyyyyyy and I'm excited that today I'll be spending the day over at the Beverly Hills Hotel where I'll be doing fancy pants stuff in the morning, followed by the red carpet and the Night of 100 Stars Party (the official Oscar viewing party), and then I'm going to be headed over to the after party for The Artist ... which is FUCKING RAD because everyone is expecting them to win, so I am expecting to have A FULL CHAMPAGNE GLASS ALL EVENING!!!

So, we've stayed friends across all social networks for the last year, and it kind of amazed me watching this couple's pictures post every weekend; they look like the most SATISFIED couple I have ever seen on Facebook.

Yep - true story. SOOO, as you all may know from earlier in the week this duderino from OKC hit me up and totes wanted me to be his slave. I was intrigued at first, he hypnotized me over the phone - but 24 hours later he was threatening legal action.

I'm a lawyer's daughter duderino. I know my rights!! =) True story: When I was 8 I actually went to law school with my dad and took notes. ANNNNDDD when I was 10 and it was bring your daughter to work day, my dad asked me to find this wording in a document - which I did - and he then said to the duderino in court that his 10 year old daughter could find what he said wasn't there. SUH-WEET!!! I totally helped him win the case.

I'm slowly but surely realizing that thinking about life after graduation and living it are two completely different things. Especially when we are in an economy such as this one.
I graduated from the lovely San Diego State University in Dec. with a degree in Journalism and Media Studies and a vague idea that I wanted to do something in Social Media.
Side note: How effin awesome (politics aside) is it that I have The Terminator's signature on my diploma?!
I am back living in the "Sunny Place for Shady People," Los Angeles. I grew up here (a true Valley Girl) and am back experiencing the city in such a different light.
I am now surrounded by people that have moved here in order to achieve their dreams (and no they are not ALL in show business). To be around this is incredibly infectious.
I love having all of these ambitious people pushing me to keep up instead of faulting back on just "being back at home."
Being a "native" of the area I'm finding is extremely rare. Here is an actual conversation that I had in a bar:
