#Lifecasting: Is there such a thing as being too honest?

SOOO!!! I had a date last night, and I'm not going to lie I was pretty nervous. I knew the el duderino has checked out Talk Nerdy To Me, Lover - and I had a feeling he read the post the other day "#truestory: it wasn't love, just sex." I had been warned by our dating coach that posting things like that, does have some rad reprecussions when it comes to dating in the future ... so I just laid all the cards on the table and flat out asked him.

I was like yo, home dog nizzle izzle ...did you read the site yesterday?

And he was all ... foh sho! you know!!

hahaha okay, who am I kidding ... for reals though ... I did call him out - and he told me he had read it. I asked him point blank what he thought. He turned and said, what did you think I'd think you were a slut? I said, no honestly I don't really care if you think that - or anyone really ... I was just curious if it intimated you.

After the post, I noticed a decline in OkCupid emails ... although, those have since gone back up ... and I was just curious if there was a weird boundary issue that I was crossing. See, when you start posting about your sex life there is no going back. As is, I broadcast everything else in life ... and I love me some sex. So, how could I not broadcast that too??? Again, in a very matter of fact, non-porno way. I just say what works, what doesn't and here is why.

But even if you approach it in a weird scientific experimental way ... guys I think will still be intimidated. I have no idea the social ramifications of what I am doing ... but I really do think there is something here.

I will say that it is incredibly weird going out on a date, and being so google-able. Literally ... I am one of the most google-able people on this planet. You can view my okcupid profile to know what I think about some pretty big dealbreakers in life. You can see all the places I frequent via FourSquare ... and even what I am thinking via Twitter. Basically, anything a guy would ever want to know about me, he can find. I'm not going to lie, I do think it throws off the social dynamic a bit ... but I think this is pretty cool. I'm happy that the dude didn't get all weirded out by it, and I think that will say a lot about the future of these experiments. Being so honest in the first place didn't have much of an aftershock. If anything, I found that people respect me and what I do THAT much more - since I am willing to be open with EVERYTHINGGGG!!!

So, YAHH!!! Too cool for school!!! =) =) =)
