#TNTML Pilot Update!

Holy mother of a jellyfish ... just got done with our production meeting. Yep, three hours. Three of the most AMAZING HOURS EVERRRRRR!!

Dude, I have never been more proud of something in my entire life. I know I say that a lot and blah blah blah it gets old ... but this is my heart. I'm literally holding back tears now thinking about how many people are involved ... SERIOUSLY epic googling ...

On November 3, 2009, I saw a trend, had an idea, and didn't stop to make it come true. The fact that these mucks are like so on board it's not even funny just warms my soul. Literally man ... I'm speechless. I just had to sit down to catch my breath because I was starting to feel light headed. It's now way, way, way, bigger than me. WAY BIGGER.

I have to say what I am proud the most of though is just the technical components, what it's going to do for social media and entertainment as a whole BLOWS MY MINDDDDDD!! Dude, even if all we get is the ONE showing of the pilot ... it is so going to be "that show." I just ... have no words. So much TALENT!! And it's rad too because everyone brings so many different things to the table. There are no repeats of crappy mashed potatoes, hahaha!

I'm so stoked you guys. Stoked isn't even the word ... humbled is. I am so incredibly humbled at the people that "get it" and see where this is going, and more importantly, are doing something about it.

Thank you, TNTML! I know our community is definitely going through a growth period ... but thank you all so so much for sticking around. I really appreciate you. Balancing out the management of the community, on top of posting content, and oh yeah develop this pilot has been a lot of work, but I wouldn't change it for the world. Thank you for making me feel alive.

xoxo #NERDSUNITE!!!

Next round of meetings are later this week ... stay tuned!!!

This is happening Jen breathe ... this is happening Jen ... this is happening ....

#TNTML Pilot Update!

BAHHHH!! What a time what a time ... just wanted to let you all know that we're hustling and bustling with the TNTML pilot.

In case you need a recap, in June I had this idea for a web series based on experiments, and life experiences I had over the last year ... contacted this chick about it, she told her roommate (@bryceless) who said this isn't a webseries, this is a movie! He then wrote a treatment, presented it to me, I friggen LOVED it, and away we went into making a major motion picture. Through connections this guy had, we were able to get it infront of the nerdiest of nerdy directors. He loved the idea, we went through 4 drafts of the script, and we got notes from his agent who's basically the IRL Ari Gold. Then we had a bit of a hold up with clearances and usage of technical components that we're going to be integrating in the film ... but after many emails, phone calls, and even the threat of just showing up wherever I had to, we were able to get it done. Then our director's wifey had her show cancelled, so what was being able to be done on spec, had to turn into a payday or we'd lose our director. I then called in a Facebook favor, and emailed a Hollywood god that I had lunch with this year after I screened his movie for TNTML. I asked him to read it, and he was totally game. He loved it, but said parts of it didn't make sense for film, why not turn it into a pilot for TV ... and that is where we are today. Yeah, it's been nuts - but literally every meeting, every email, every ... ANYTHING has been documented. Tells such a GREAT story of how social media has changed so much for someone with an idea.

That being said, @bryceless and I are working hard on packaging this product with the Hollywood god for pilot season. See, in television, they have this time of the year called "pilot season," which occurs in the spring/ summer time, where people can present their ideas to the major networks in the hopes that it will be bought and aired during the fall. It's pretty cool but requires an ENORMOUS amount of work. For reals, you have to write pretty lengthy bios for each character, and flush out the entire first season explaining both the A and B story lines; let alone all the explaining that we have to do for the technical components and marketing opportunities!! It's nuts ... it's totally insane, and I am LOVING every minute of it.

The Hollywood god has some things he's gotz to take care of ... but come the middle of January, we're going to really start packaging everything with a showrunner and all that jazz. I'm pretty stoked! Everything was just the most perfect of perfect timing!

There's definitely going to be a lot that I can't tell you guys, but I will ask for forgiveness over permission ANNYDDAAYYYY!!! So no worries.

It's really interesting too how different a TV script is from a movie. A movie script has all of these complex layers that have to be established in this arc and yada yada ... where a TV script is just all about the characters bumping into each other. Literally, I just about died laughing when the Hollywood god said that to me. It's so crazy stupid simple ... but works.

Either way, we're super super super good at this point. I am SOOO humbled at the team that has been put together, they're all such talented people. Yay for social media making all of this happen!!

All I have to say is that 2011 is going to be hands down the best year ever, and I can't WAIT to share it with you all. Thanks guys so so much for being in my life!! I read every tweet, every email, every everything. It means the world to me, and keeps me going. THANK YOU!! Whoop whoop!!!

#TNTML Pilot Update!

SOOOOOOOO we're moving and groovin with the pilot script. Amazing how much goes into a pilot. For reals, I am learning so much. Like, did you know even for just a pilot, you have to have an outline for an entire first season? Talking about A and B story lines ... where each character is going ... and yada yada. I feel like that should totally make sense in my noggin, but I'm also Buddhist and a very "in the now" type person. Fortunately, I have the most active of active imaginations, @brycless and I work incredibly well together.

Last week we sat around, watched a show or two for inspiration, and basically banged out the entire first season of TNTML. Of course we're not married to it at this point, but at least we have something for when we meet with the Hollywood god again this week. Super chill dude, such a trip to be working with him. Talk about an honor ... and talk about just embracing all of the present moment magic. I didn't expect to host a screening, then get a message from the person who did the movie, have lunch, and then 8 months later have a project for him. So weird ... all about the networking baby! Stay open to all opportunities. Always.

I digress ... we have to put together this whole package to present to the networks before spring. That includes of course all of the marketing opportunities and super nerdy stuff on my end. That might sound like a long time, but it's totally not. We really don't have a lot of time at all. Springtime in LA translates to being as early as February. Given though, this is like having Steve Jobs around helping you with your little computer company ... I know the Hollywood god definitely has our back, but it doesn't mean we don't put in our end of the bargain, and all of our end of the work. I didn't come this far, have all of these things happen, and literally every.single.day. put my life on the line for something if I didn't know it could work.

Super cool, super stoked ... and yeah! I'm excited. We're going to be meeting up with him this week, and he's going to give us the first round of notes on our second draft of the script. The first draft was sent to this el nerderino who is a big big BIIGGGGG TV writer. Like for reals, big shows ... stuff you know ... he and @brycless are brothers from another mother, so you know how it goes. He gave us a lot of invaluable information on timing, and jokes ... etc. So fascinating. This process is sooooooo fascinating. Everytime I see a new show come out on TV, even sucky ones, I will release a small tear, and take my right hand and place it on my heart while mouthing "I feel you brother ..." Wowzzaahhss!

Such an exciting time though! I keep having to remind myself this is happening ... wow. just wow.

#TNTML Pilot Update!

Yeppers. The 93 page feature film script is officially being turned into a 28 page pilot. (Click here to read more of the updates on how it got done.)

I am just laughing my ass off at all of this, you have to understand. I mean, to have the people we have on board with this project now is just ridiculous. Like RIIDDDIICCUULLOOOUUUSSSSSSS!!

I cannot wait until I can start telling people more in depth as far as how it all got done. The entire system was circumvented, and I just went to the Hollywood god via Facebook. (Of course at that point, I had already signed my life rights, we had met with the director, gone over 4 drafts of the script and character development, gotten permission from all the nerdy peeps that be, all that snazzy jazzy stuff.) Screw agents, I have lawyers. HAHA! Dude, I even asked the Hollywood god if I needed an agent, and he told me flat out no. He said not yet, and just keep using my network to get things done. Way better that way. Just cut out the bullshit, man. It's so incredibly unnecessary.

I know that makes sense and all ... but this is still SUCH a trip to have access to these people. If you want something from someone, just create it - and then market and promote the crap out of it. People are inspired by action - period. end of sentence.

Either way!! Talked to @Bryceless this mornin, and the Hollywood god is confident that he can do the re-write even though Bryce hasn't written anything for TV before. Bryce utilized his extended network by talking to a friend of his who is a big big big TV writer, and got some pointers. So excited!! He said he learned a lot. OHHH!! And, DUDE! Instead of the lead (which is based on my life, hence the life rights), already being an established big wig in the tech scene - they're making her over crazy bitch style, and incorporating bartering into her existence. Basically everything she touches has been bartered or is a gift. HAHA! Sound familiar??? =) =) =) =)

SOOOOOOO EXXCCIITTEEDDDD!!!

The Hollywood god wants us to have this ready for Spring to take to the networks - which is like totally doable. Clearly.

OMG!! I am so excited!!!

Take your passion and make it happen nerds!!!! =) =) =) WHOOP WHOOP!!

#TNTML Movie Update: Oh baby, it's on!

So, if you're new *waves* welcome ... hi, I'm Jen. Hollyhood totally took an idea that I had for a webseries, and are turning it into a major motion picture. SUH-WEET!!!!!

Alrite, so our uber nerdy director has been working with the nerd god ... and just wrapped his deadline on some rad commercials he was doing. For reals, this guy displacing wind near you, will make you shiver. He is soooo friggen well known the guy not only created the entire genre, but still makes hot nerdy love to it. It's like being a priest and having a direct line to good ol' JC sayin - yo, what up homedog? Got a question ... Yeah ... our director is totally BFFs with this dude. Either way, our shiznat is moving really fast, and once we get a "go" this week we're pretty much going to be rockin' and rollin'. SOO!! All other projects etc, had to get tied up first. Or something like that ... I don't know to be honest, I'm not interested in the Hollywood politics. I just know that this is going to work, and the timing is DEAD ON, and um ... yeah. Final draft is getting banged out tonight in Hollyhood ... and then I get to head over to hang out with IRL Ari Gold. Dude, the lead is a lifecaster!!!! Do you know what that does to my nerdy knickers??? It's going to set a standard for other unapologetically awesome nerds to go out and do it ... so ... so ... SOOO EFFIN RAD!!!!!!!!!

Either way, lots and lots and lots and lots going on. But keeping pretty sane. When the news breaks, I'll have it defaulted on TNTML before it goes to Variety, or Deadline, or The Hollywood Reporter. Not that I consider myself a journalist or anything ... but this is my baby. Besides, any reader of this site knows if you read the updates - we spell out pretty clearly what's going on. =) Can't wait guys, thanks again so much for everything!!!
