Oh my holy poopsicles, I just love love effing love my job. I'm a photographer (not like magazine model photographer, more like family and wedding photographer), and it is just so amazing. I get to do what I love every day (literally, I take a picture at least once a day, check it out), and I don't have to be professional. Like not much at all. I try to maintain a baseline amount of professionalism, of course, but I really get to be myself and screw around. I get artistic and creative freedom, I have no boss, I learn TONS about my craft daily, and I do it all from home with my wild beast children running around in the background. As I am typing this they are being quiet, meaning they are probably drawing things on the baby's face.
I just had to submit an ad for the program of the wedding expo I am doing soon, and at the end of it I decided that I needed to let them know just what a whackadoo I am. So I sang to my ad rep. Through the email, of course, but I definitely let it all go for her. Here is a screen shot of it just so you can experience the awesomeness.
So yeah, right after I sent it I realized that this is a professional woman I am corresponding with. For my business. That I actually make money at. That I earn respect doing. I rock a faux hawk, have my lip pierced and get to make people fall in love with me when I make them and their family look amazing. I get to really see people, look straight into their souls through my lens, and capture their true emotions. I am there for the most important parts of their lives - marriages, engagements, and babies. My life is so great, and I am really appreciating that today. Because today instead of editing photos (which I really should be doing) I built templates. Amazing templates that other people don't even know how to do. I am really thinking about selling them, like I don't have enough going on, but dang, it's not every day that you realize you have a new and marketable skill. Damn! Amazazazazazing!

That's the brilliance of singing in an email! No one can hear that you suck, and you can totally put your influctions wherever the heck you want! I'm going to sing all of my emails from now on, I think!
